We were having a discussion last night about how a widower could become a priest. One of the older boys mentioned how the pastor at the Anglican Use parish in our area was married. So I told them stories of how some Episcopal parishes converted to Catholicism with their pastors and how a special allowance was made by the Church to permit these pastors to be ordained as Catholic priests.
So my youngest son, not even in 2nd grade yet, tells us he knows what he going to do: become Episcopalian, get married, get ordained, and then re-convert to Catholicism so he can be married and a priest. I guess the call to husband & father and the priesthood is strong in this young man. However, I couldn't believe a son of mine-no matter how young- could plan a scheme like this.

Chicks arrived this morning. It is always a challenge-no matter how well you prepare-to keep them inside the chicken pen when they are so young and small. It must be bred in them to seek the smallest opening and not be content with their home.

There's a flaw in your boy's scheme, I think (besides the obvious). If I understand correctly, the Pastoral Provision (for married Protestant clergy being ordained to the Catholic priesthood) is intended for converts.
However, since your son is already Catholic, if he were to do this, he would not be a convert, but a returning apostate -- and the Powers That Be have been more reluctant to allow the PP to be used in those cases.
Look on the bright side! Clearly, the boy recognizes the goodness of both marriage and the priesthood. :)
peace,
