May he rest in peace! Fr. Selzer's passing was the lead story in this week's Catholic Miscellany. Msgr. Rowland (his first pastor-and I believe his last) said of him:He was a very dedicated priest who thoroughly live his ministry and got the greatest pleasure in serving the people of God, most especially those that may have special needs or are overlooked by general society. He was very proud of his years at The Citadel and he really took to heart the promise of living simply.
This last I can especially believe.
